After months of speculation, media are now reporting that Crown Princess Victoria’s younger sister has been living in Sweden again since June. The move was actually announced in summer 2023. For the time being, only the children are said to have come with Princess Madeleine. Previously, the 42-year-old lived with her husband Christopher O’Neill (49), son Nicolas (8) and daughters Leonore (10) and Adrienne (6) in Pinecrest in the US state of Florida.
Crown Princess as Neighbour
Their new home will not be in the center of Stockholm – as previously planned – but in the municipality of Solna, which borders the capital. There, the royals will live in a 400 square meter property with twelve rooms and a 1.2 hectare garden. Crown Princess Victoria (46) and her family reside just a few minutes away.
Madeleine’s children will attend a Swedish school from the fall, which was one of the reasons for the move, it is said. This is the only way her offspring can keep their place in the line of succession. Another reason for the return was probably Victoria’s officer training at the Norwegian Defense Academy. The 46-year-old will complete a full-time course in the fall and will have to delegate tasks. Royal expert Johan T. Lindwall assumes that Madeleine will have to “take on much more responsibility in the royal family” in the future.
