New rumor about Boris Becker

“I would like to inform you that I will be stepping down as Holger Rune’s head coach with immediate effect,” Becker announced on social media on February 4th. He realized that he didn’t have the time to continue working successfully with the seventh in the world rankings. But the next top man is likely to be knocking on his door.

Zverev – the Olympic champion still lacks a Grand Slam title in his collection – recently commented cryptically on a related question in an interview with the German Press Agency: “The chance is always there, always has been.” A denial sounds different. Zverev also said about former stars as coaches: “Just looking into their brains and seeing what they think about and how they acted in such situations can always help you. You can always learn from that, I won’t either be stubborn and say: I know everything.”

Because of the prison sentence he served in England (two and a half years for insolvency crimes), Becker is still not allowed to enter some countries. Which is why he can’t be there at many tournaments. This has also made it difficult for him to become a coach. Becker has also been the coach of superstar Novak Djokovic in the past
