At the end of April, 37 new Red Cross operational officers were solemnly sworn in in the Steinernes Saal of the Linz country house. Among them were three new managers from the Eferding district and one from the Grieskirchen district.

The new officers were inducted into their posts with the swearing saying “Per humanitatem ad pacem – through humanity to peace”.

Samuel Humer, who is already district rescue commander, was sworn in for Grieskirchen. The new Eferdinger Red Cross managers are Jörg Kuno from the emergency doctor service in Eferding, local manager Jürgen Spitzenberger and district manager Philipp Wiatschka.

By completing the two-year training course, the new officers are qualified to take the lead in large and complex Red Cross operations. On the one hand, the course includes personality development in order to prepare the participants for their management position. On the other hand, the necessary practical skills for operational management are imparted.

The four officers were congratulated by the two district office managers, Michaela Schwinghammer-Hausleithner from Eferding and Martina Doblhofer from Grieskirchen.
