Queen Elizabeth II made Windsor Castle her home and permanent headquarters, according to the British newspaper, “Daily Mail” and reported by other media.
It has become clear that the 95-year-old “will not fully return to Buckingham Palace”, as she is not believed to have spent one night since March 2020, according to the British newspaper.
Instead, the Queen will “work from home” in Windsor, and is expected to meet dignitaries and officials at her home in Berkshire.

It is likely that there is also advice from the Queen’s entourage as they are keen to reduce the Queen’s trips, following she recently admitted “jokingly” that she feels weak and unable to move.
The Queen spent most of the Corona-related lockdown in Windsor with her husband, Prince Philip, until his death in April last year, when sources said that the couple “rediscovered the happiness they had in their early years together.”
Royal family writer Hugo Vickers told the Sunday Times: “Windsor is the place she loves… She has her memories of Prince Philip there, she has her horses there, her family nearby… It makes sense.”
After canceling her engagements for a period due to Corona, Queen Elizabeth II held two meetings via video, last Tuesday, and she became, according to her son Charles, “much better.”
The health of the Queen, who will celebrate her 96th birthday in April, more than 70 of which has been on the British throne, has raised concern since she tested positive for the virus on February 20, but she has improved enough to speak via video link with the new ambassadors of Chad and Andorra from the Palace of Windsor, where she is staying.
The Queen’s public appearances have become rare, since she spent a night in hospital in October, but the palace recently announced the resumption of her public activities with an activity on March 29 in Westminster in memory of her late husband Prince Philip, who died last year.
