For Sima 2022, Amazone is expanding its range of pneumatic pack-top seed drills with the Centaya 3000 Special. The new product type in the Centaya product range replaces the AD-P Special pack top seed drill.
The Centaya Special is available with hopper sizes of 1,000 l and 1,500 l and a working width of 3 m. The pneumatic pack-top seed drill can be equipped with the RoTeC single disc coulter or with the TwinTeC special double disc coulter.
Close to the tractor
The Centaya Special’s segmented distributor head is located behind the seed hopper and directly above the coulters. This arrangement ensures short conveying distances for the seed. As a result, the hopper is pulled far forward and thus has an optimal center of gravity close to the tractor. The distributor head can be easily reached via the loading board and can thus be checked regularly. The adjustment of the tramline systems is also easy to do due to the good accessibility.
Due to the low design of the container, the driver has a better overview of the machine. The generous filling opening of 2.30 x 0.84 m allows a quick and effortless filling process with big bags, front loader shovels, but also with goods in sacks. Thanks to the pointed inlet and steep hopper walls, the seed is safely guided to the metering device. In addition, there are only small residues.
The Centaya Special pack top seed drill is controlled via ISOBUS. The self-developed software enables the driver to use it intuitively. In connection with the TwinTerminal, the machine can be prepared for field work quickly and easily.
Smart calibration
The seed hopper can be easily calibrated using the loading board. The easily accessible dosing device on the bottom of the hopper ensures even seed dosing. The seed is collected via the trough supplied and weighed using the scales included in the standard scope of delivery.
Amazone offers various dosing rollers for the Centaya Special for other seeds or different seed quantities. In order to change the dosing rollers, only two screws have to be loosened directly on the dosing device using the tool provided.
In order to further simplify the pre-metering, calibration and emptying of residues, Amazone offers the Comfort package with TwinTerminal 3.0 for the Centaya Special in connection with the AmaTron 4 operating terminal. This terminal is attached with a magnet near the dosage. The calibration is therefore carried out directly on the machine and there is no need to get on and off the tractor several times.
The ISOBUS terminals AmaTron 4, AmaPad 2 from AMAZONE or any ISOBUS terminal from another manufacturer can be used for the ISOBUS control of the seed drill combination.
Single disc coulter or double disc coulter
The Centaya Special can be optionally equipped with the RoTeC single disc coulter or the TwinTeC special double disc coulter.
RoTeC shares are maintenance-free and work very reliably, even with large amounts of straw and plant residue. The seed furrow is formed and the seed is optimally guided into the soil by the seed disc on one side and a furrow former on the other side. The Control 10 or Control 25 depth control disc prevents soil from sticking to the sowing disc and reliably ensures that the set sowing depth is adhered to. Row spacings of 12.5 cm and 15 cm can be selected.
Equipped with the powerful TwinTeC special double disc coulter, the seed drill offers a precise and robust double disc coulter. With a disc diameter of 340 mm and a coulter pressure of 40 kg, the coulter allows very precise and clean seed placement even at high speeds and on changing soils, the manufacturer writes.
Thanks to the trailing depth control roller, there is always good ground contact, so that optimal seed placement is ensured. Even under the most difficult conditions, the coulter should run very smoothly. The row spacing is 15 cm.
QuickLink quick coupling system
The Centaya Special pack top seed drill can be connected very easily, quickly and without tools to various Amazone soil tillage implements using the QuickLink quick coupling system. Depending on the soil conditions, it can be combined with the KE 02 rotary harrows or the KG and KX rotary cultivators. The Centaya Special can be used with the CombiDisc compact disc harrow on very light soils.
