Cadeca (Exchange Houses in Cuba) has announced an important novelty in the management of its currency service.
currency exchange. The service, which was previously managed through the Ticket platform, will be transferred to the well-known
Transfermóvil application, which has become an essential tool for electronic payments in the
country.
What is MyTurno? MiTurno is a new service from the Transfermóvil platform designed specifically for the management of shifts for the purchase of foreign currency at Cadeca.
According to official information, this service was created with the objective of expanding access, making it easier for more Cubans, both banked and unbanked, to manage the purchase of foreign currency efficiently.
Essentially, through MiTurno, users will be able to book appointments digitally and receive notifications in
real time on the progress of the queue. One of the main advantages of MiTurno is that it allows unbanked Cubans to access the service through Mi Bolsa Transfer, a digital wallet within the application.
This guarantees that a broader sector of the population can use the system, CADECA noted.
Migration process
According to the information offered, the migration of data from Ticket to Transfermóvil began on December 3
October 2024 and is expected to take approximately one week. During this period, no new additions can be made to the online queue, although it is guaranteed that users who already have their turn will not be affected.
Cadeca has assured that users’ personal data will be protected throughout the process and will be used exclusively for the original purpose.
Book and manage appointments in MiTurno

Reception of the news in Cuba
User comments reflect various concerns and experiences around the transition from Ticket to Transfermóvil for the purchase of currency at Cadeca.
Some users, such as Darelys Boye Piñiri, mention specific problems related to accessing the MiTransfer application, highlighting the difficulty of recovering the PIN or the inconvenience when the telephone line is not in the user’s name.
On the other hand, some users like Elizabeth Avila express their concern about the long waiting time in the online queue, mentioning that, even after a year of being on the list, they have still not been able to access the purchase of currency.
This concern is accentuated by the fear of losing the turn due to data migration to Transfermóvil.
