After analysis, the Intercommunale has therefore decided to adjust the opening hours of its recyparks for 2024. Nothing will change for Saturdays.
But from now on, the recyparks will be closed every Monday. In return, the 53 recyparcs will similarly offer a morning opening time, from Tuesday to Friday. The collection of PMC packaging via blue bags has had an impact on recycling parks. IDELUX Environnement has in fact measured a significant reduction in the quantities collected and the transport of containers. From an attendance point of view, it was found that:
– Saturdays and Wednesdays have the highest attendance rate;
– the other days have an almost similar attendance rate;
– for recyparks usually open in the morning, the attendance rate in the morning is high and sometimes higher than that recorded at certain times in the followingnoon;
– the attendance rate during lunchtime seems to be lower;
– the attendance rate during the “6 p.m. – 7 p.m.” time (in summer) is generally low.
On this basis, the Board of Directors of IDELUX Environnement adopted on June 23 – following the modifications had been presented to the representative trade union organizations – a proposal to adapt and standardize the opening hours of the recyparcs so that these correspond to the new realities on the ground.
Closed on Sunday and Monday
Concretely, following approval by the supervisory authority, the opening hours for all recyparks in the IDELUX Environnement zone will be, from January 1, 2024:
– Tuesday to Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.;
– on Saturday, nothing changes, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.;
– closed every Sunday and from now on every Monday.
Note that this schedule will remain the same all year round (abandonment of the winter/summer system).
This standardization has several advantages, including:
– It will offer a morning opening time to users of the 53 recycling parks in the area.
– It will make timetables easier to read: single timetable everywhere and all year round.
– It will also make it possible to offer 2 consecutive days of rest to attendants, without reducing either the number of hours of service or service to the population.
This decision should satisfy the majority of users even if it will involve changes in habits for some, with the Monday closure. An advice ? The Intercommunale invites users who can afford it to avoid the busiest periods on Saturday and Wednesday.
