The year 2022, in which Opel celebrated its 160th anniversary, was marked by the launch of the New Generation Astra. Customers can already discover it in the network in its five-door version. The year 2023 will once once more be charged with emotions and sensations since Opel will continue its momentum: the electrification offensive will accelerate and will be led by the new Opel Astra Electric.
The Mokka Electric will gain a more powerful engine and will also benefit from greater autonomy. The models of the dynamic GSe range – Astra GSe, Astra Sports Tourer GSe et Grandland GSe – will debut later this year. Finally, Opel will continue its commitment to electric rallying over the next season. In 2023, l’ADAC Opel e-Rally Cupthe world’s first and so far only one-make electric rally cup, will begin its third round with the Opel Corsa-e Rallye from spring. The program will also be further amplified with eight events instead of seven spread over four countries in 2023, including France.
“The transformation we are deeply committed to becoming an all-electric brand will continue in 2023. Our customers will feel it when they first sit in one of our particularly dynamic GSe models or when they try to the first time the new Astra Electric. And by continuing our participation in the 100% electric rally, we will prove that electric can spark passion both on the road and on the circuit. In addition, new information will soon be available concerning our city cars and our range of electrified light commercial vehicles. With this and other surprises to come, Opel will therefore continue to be boosted next year. Until then, we wish you a merry and restful Christmas and a good start to 2023,” says Florian Huettl, CEO of Opel.
