New Nissan GT-R unveiled in Japan

Yokohama, Japan – Nissan unveiled the new GT-R for the Japanese market, including two special editions, the Nissan GT-R Premium Edition T-spec, and the Nissan GT-R NISMO Special Edition. The 2024 models are expected to hit the market in the second quarter of this year, followed by the NISMO versions, whose sales are expected to start in the third quarter.

With the product concept of “evolve to deliver maximum driving pleasure”, the Nissan GT-R continues to elevate its status as a premium sports car. The new models represent a higher level in terms of the balance between speed and ride quality. “With the emphasis on the new front grille design, cutting-edge technologies and mastery of manufacturing techniques, the new models are the ultimate GT-R R35,” said Ashwani Gupta, COO of Nissan.

The models feature aerodynamic enhancements and superior driving attributes. Keeping the same power, noise and vibration levels have been reduced, while the sound has been carefully tuned to enhance onboard comfort.

The T-spec version represents the GT-R’s philosophy of leading and defining its era, inspired by the words trend e traction. The GT-R T-spec version was created to always be ahead of its time, offering a robust grip when driving. The Nissan GT-R Premium Edition T-spec is now equipped with specially tuned suspension and carbon brake discs, which deliver smooth, responsive driving pleasure.

The Nissan GT-R NISMO maximizes the use of technologies made for racing. With even more precise aerodynamic performance and suspension tuning, plus the integration of a mechanical limited-slip differential in the front drivetrain, this is the highest-performing GT-R ever created. The unique Recaro clamshell racing seats have been redesigned to offer a superior driving experience, providing a sense of total interaction between the driver and the car, as well as superior comfort.
