LH Mikl-Leitner: A prime example of what can be achieved when we work together

St. Pölten (OTS) In the municipality of Reinsberg (Scheibbs district), Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner opened the new Nah & Frisch store yesterday, Friday followingnoon. Around 450,000 euros were invested in the building with a small covered terrace, which extends over 160 square meters and was built directly in front of the kindergarten. 350,000 euros of this goes to the municipality, 100,000 euros comes from the state’s NAFES funding. The municipality has taken out a loan for the construction, which will be refinanced through future rental income.

“The reopening of ‘Nah & Frisch – Our Shop’ is a prime example of what can be achieved when we work together,” said Mikl-Leitner, who also emphasized: “It has become a fantastically beautiful store, which we can only warmly welcome “Of course, such a project must also be supported by the population,” she continued, recalling the 3,000 voluntary hours of around 70 different helpers who helped build this business. Partitions were built by volunteers, rooms were painted and the furnishings were installed by a retired carpenter. Many cooks fed the workers during the construction project.

This place is in a tourist region and “people need the opportunity to shop here,” explained the state governor. “Reinsberg is a very special community and a gem,” she further emphasized, citing castle ruins, village square, renovated church, leisure center, kindergarten, elementary school and music center.

Commercial Councilor Christoph Kastner emphasized: “The “Our Business in Reinsberg” association has been working with the Kastner Group since 2012, the members are popular in the town and know how it works.”

Club chairman Christoph Wolmersdorfer said: “Customers can expect a state-of-the-art business with an innovative character here. In addition to the usual staffed opening hours, shopping will also be possible in a self-service format. The opening hours can then be extended to 84 hours per week.”

Mayor Franz Faschingleitner said: “We in Reinsberg have clear goals and clear visions.” This business ensures local supplies and the nice thing is that “many foods are produced just a few kilometers from the shop and do not have to travel halfway around the world .”

The association “Our business in Reinsberg” was founded in 2012 with a high level of commitment from all of the community’s citizens. Since then, the business has been supplying the Reinsberg population with around 3,500 everyday products. The old shop was ultimately too small and a new, barrier-free building was therefore built. The business is supplied by the Kastner company.
