to remember Absolutely amazing show From Super Mario 64 With x-rays? Well, this guy is currently working on a new project that might develop N64 emulation. Modder-turned-developer Dario has revealed “RT64” (the pathfinding tool behind the sm64rt project) is undergoing transformation into a plugin for the Nintendo 64 emulator.

It started its life ‘a month ago’ as a way to improve the ‘computer port back end’ and has evolved into a ‘general simulation solution’ that can be applied to a much larger library of N64 games. It can add radiance due to radiation, body motion blur, widescreen, DLSS and improve frame rate – exceeding 60fps.

Of course, this is still in its early stages, which means there is still a long way to go. This also remains a “mission impossible” to make it compatible All N64, highlighting the headlines is a manual process. Over time, a whitelist of compatible games will be available so that users know what games do and what doesn’t work with the plugin.

Below is only a small selection of games that currently support RT64. As you can see, there are games like The Legend of Zelda: Ukraine TimeAnd Kirby 64: Crystal Shardsوال .صل Mario paper game. until the kids on ice The series is getting some love.

Dario reiterates how it won’t be rolling out “anytime soon” because there are still hundreds of issues to solve and features to add. The game library, as we mentioned, is “very limited”.

An interesting “side effect” of this project is “looking for a way to satisfy the processing commands that an N64 game sends without changing the game at all” – meaning that games without the 60fps fix on the N64 can now run at the highest frame rates, Without the need for unique repairs.
