Moscow Deputy Mayor for Transport Maxim Liksutov announced that the Moscow-2024 series of modern trains will soon be put into operation on the Troitskaya Metro Line.

Nine new trains will serve passengers since the opening of the first section of the Third Line, and the number of such innovative trains will increase as the line develops and more stations open.
In the initial phase, maintenance work on the new trains will be carried out at BKL’s Zamoskvoretskoye power station. After the construction of the new depot is completed, services will be transferred to the Stolbovo electric section, and in the future the Troitskaya line will have its own electric section.
Liksutov emphasized that in accordance with the instructions of Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, updating the subway vehicles is a priority area of work. Since the beginning of 2010, the Moscow Metro has received more than 4,500 Russian-made carriages, and the share of new-generation trains has increased almost sixfold.
According to predictions, by 2030, 95% of the Moscow Metro’s trains will be modernized and meet the latest requirements.
