New modules for street trading will be installed in Riga

To ensure the installation of new street trading modules, old structures in retail outlets on the street will be dismantled. Valdekyu, 53, on the corner of the street. In total, this year it is planned to install 22 new modules in Ziepniekkalns, Daugavgriva, Mezciems, Bras, Sarkandaugava, Milgravis and Jugla.

Over three years, it is planned to install 64 new canopies. The design of the new modules was created by architect Tom Kampars.

The modules will in all cases have roofing and walls to protect traders from rain, wind and sun. The design of the modules is suitable for placement in various combinations in any retail outlet. Each module has functional elements that will provide shade over the products.

To use street trading places equipped by the local government, you must obtain permission to organize street trading and pay a municipal fee.
