New Metro Stations Open in Cairo: Sudan, Imbaba, Al-Buhi, Al-Qawmia, Ring Road, and Rod Al-Farag Corridor

Sayed Al-Khalafawi wrote Monday, November 27, 2023 12:38 PM Getting ready Ministry of TransportationTo operate 6 new stations within the third and final phase of the third line of the metro, in the distance from (Sudan Street / Imbaba / Rod Al-Farag Corridor), which are the stations “Sudan, Imbaba, Al-Buhi, Al-Qawmia, Ring Road, and Rod Al-Farag Corridor.”

This phase serves areas with high population density in the areas of Sudan Street, Imbaba, Al-Buha, the Arab National and the Ring Road.

The third line of the metro integrates with the rest of the network’s lines, public transportation means, and electric traction in the Greater Cairo region, by exchanging service with the first line at Nasser station, the second line at Ataba and Cairo University stations, the sixth line at Abbasiya station, and the light electric train at Adly station. Mansour Central, the East Nile Monorail at the Stadium Station, and the West Nile Monorail at the Nile Valley Station, as well as the connection with the Ring Road at the Ring Road Station, thus linking the metro with the BRT bus, which will be run on the Ring Road to achieve service exchange between them.
