New members of the board of the American Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania have been elected, T. Vizgirda will continue as chairman Business

The members of the association expressed their confidence and elected 1 new and 5 business representatives who have been on the board until now as members of the board: Vilmas Khmaladze, manager of Hyand, Vilius Bernatonis, managing partner of TGS Baltic, Tad Vizgirdas, manager of Shift4 Payments Lithuania, Rosita Vasilkevičiūtė, The head of Dexcom, Beatričė Gražienė, a partner of FranklinCovey Lietuva, and Šarūnas Šuipės, the head of Citco, who will serve on the board of the association in the term of 2024-2026.

Two board members-observers were also elected for a one-year term: Dr. Ėuolas Čekanavičius, partner of “Ellex Valiunas” and Laura Ziferman, partner of “WALLESS”.

“We have no doubt that the current and new members of the board of the American Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania, who have many years of experience in various fields, will help to solve the strategic issues of the American Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania and will be a great impetus to further successfully strengthen business relations between the United States and Lithuania, ensure the continuity of the association’s activities and develop the development even more effectively.

We hope that the board and all members of the association will actively contribute to the ambitious activity plans. It is a great honor and responsibility for me to lead the Board for fourteen years,” says Tadas Vizgirda, Chairman of the Board of the American Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania.

During the first meeting of the board of the association, new board officers were elected. Tadas Vizgirda, head of Shift4 Payments Lithuania, has been elected for the term of the chairman of the board for the fourteenth year in a row.

Šarūnas Šuipis, head of “Citco” and Beatričė Gražienė, partner of “FranklinCovey Lietuva”, will hold the positions of vice-chairmen. Rima Valentukevičienė, head of IBM for the Baltic countries, has been appointed as treasurer for the third term. Simonas Černiauskas, an individual member, was reappointed as the secretary of the board.

“This year, 11 candidates applied for the board of the American Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania. Both the strong experience of the candidates and their preparation, solid introductions and determination to work for the benefit of the association of the American Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania show the maturity and development possibilities of the organization”, says Živilė Sabaliauskaitė, executive director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania.

The American Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania is constantly growing, currently the association represents worldwide well-known brands and business leaders, such as Apple, Meta, Google, Microsoft, IBM and others. What’s more, the association will reach the 200 member mark this year and once again consolidate its position as the market leader. Even faster growth is expected in 2024.

The American Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania has become the largest foreign chamber of commerce in our country and the Baltic region, uniting over 190 US, international and local companies in Lithuania, which together create over 44 thousand jobs throughout the country.
