New measures would affect the unvaccinated

Quebec Minister of Health and Social Services Christian Dubé is due to announce measures this morning that would affect unvaccinated Quebecers.

A press conference is scheduled to take place at 11 a.m. The minister will be accompanied by the big boss of the vaccination campaign, Daniel Paré and Dr. Lucie Opatrny, assistant deputy minister at the General Directorate of University, Medical, Nursing and Pharmaceutical Affairs.

Prime Minister François Legault had indicated last week that he did not rule out toughening up the tone towards the unvaccinated.

In an article published on Tuesday, the Journal de Montréal indicated that Quebec might impose the vaccination passport in SAQ and SQDC branches.

The situation in hospitals and the levels of load shedding will also be discussed during the press conference.
