New measures announced for Hajj and Umrah to reduce irregular Hajj

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced new measures to control and organize the Hajj season, tightening control over pilgrims and cracking down on violators.

According to an official statement, the ministry will not tolerate anyone who violates regulations and laws during the Hajj season and anyone who attempts to perform Hajj without obtaining the necessary permissions will be severely punished.

The statement explained that penalties include imposing hefty fines on violators, which may amount to up to 10,000 Saudi riyals, in addition to deporting offending residents and banning them from entering the Kingdom for a specified period of time.

The statement also confirmed that these measures are taken within the framework of the ministry’s keenness to safeguard the safety and security of pilgrims and ensure that they easily perform their religious obligations.

The statement stressed that all pilgrims must obtain the necessary permits before coming to the Kingdom and that anyone found inside the train at the Holy Land or the Two Holy Mosques without permission will be punished.

These measures are aimed at reducing unscheduled pilgrimages, protecting pilgrims from exploitation and ensuring smooth movement within the Holy Land.
