New Macs and the Studio Display in Apple’s self-service repair store

The american shop Apple’s self-service repair service has added new references just recently. You can now find spare parts and tools there to repair the 24-inch iMac (two and four ports), the Mac mini M1 and the Mac Studio, not to mention the Studio Display. These models are added to the laptops already present for a few months (MacBook Air M1, MacBook Pro 13 inch M1, MacBook Pro 14 and 16 inch).

For the Mac mini, for example, you can buy a fan, a speaker ($29), a complete motherboard (starting at $527.12) and even a brand new shell ($104.72). The parts are linked to the serial number of the Mac to be repaired, which constitutes a lock for supporters of the right to reparation.

So this only concerns the United States at the moment. The European side of this same store, which opened its doors on December 6, has not changed anything for the moment.
