New level of escalation in the Middle East with attack from Lebanon on Israel – Middle East conflict

On the first day of Passover, everything in Israel usually stands still. Anyone who moves does so to go on excursions or to go to the synagogue. Not so this year: before sunrise, people in southern Israel ran into the shelters and brought themselves and their children to safety from the threatening shelling from Gaza. In the early followingnoon there was also a missile alert in northern Israel, in the western Galilee. The country was shelled from two directions on Passover day – a lesson in psychological warfare.
