Former Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, who is recovering from recent heart surgery, has been charged with new crimes in New York, although the Manhattan prosecutor’s office has not yet revealed the new accusations, according to US media.
The once-powerful movie mogul, 72, was convicted in 2020 of raping actress Jessica Mann seven years earlier and sexually assaulting production assistant Mimi Haleyi in 2006, but an appeals court overturned the conviction in April, saying he did not receive a fair trial and ordering a new trial.
