Within Spain, due to cultural ties, one of the preferred autonomous communities is the Canary Islands, which is made up of an archipelago of eight islands, the most important being Tenerife and Gran Canaria.
Since 2020, it is stated that the number of Cubans residing in some of these islands of the Canary archipelago is increasing every day, adding more than 50 thousand Cubans in 2023, according to official information. Therefore, the expansion of more consular services in the Canary Islands is a requirement that must be reviewed.
