New Israeli incursions into the West Bank

Palestine – Israeli forces stormed cities in the West Bank and arrested a number of Palestinian youth, while others were injured by live bullets in the old town of Nablus in the northern West Bank.

Four young men were shot and another was arrested on Monday during an Israeli army special forces raid on the old city of Nablus.

Sources reported that “a number of occupation vehicles stormed several neighborhoods inside and around the Old City, amid heavy gunfire in the area, and the deployment of a number of snipers on the roofs of houses and shops, after the special forces stormed the area.”

The sources added that “clashes erupted in the town during which the occupation forces fired live bullets intensively, which led, according to the Red Crescent, to the injury of 4 young men with live bullets, and the arrest of another young man.”

During a raid on the Handaza area, east of Bethlehem Governorate, Israeli forces arrested five young men.

Local sources reported that “the occupation forces arrested a student at Birzeit University, after raiding her family’s home in the Ramallah al-Tahta area.”

The sources indicated that the student was a previous detainee and was released in the last exchange deal, and she was arrested at the time on November 20, 2023.

Israeli forces arrested a young man from Tulkarm city at dawn on Monday.

Local sources reported that the occupation forces arrested the young man (32 years old) while he was passing through the Hamra military checkpoint near the city of Jericho, noting that he is a former detainee.

The Israeli army has repeatedly stormed cities and towns in the West Bank, amidst an escalation in violence since the outbreak of war in the Gaza Strip on October 7.
