Instagram today announced three new features that will make collaborating, creating and sharing Reels more fun and easier.
1- It’s now possible to remix photos from public profiles on Instagram: just choose from the new Remix layouts or add a clip to the end of an existing video for more storytelling options.
2- The creation of Reels is also simplified using Templates, with pre-loaded audio and predefined clip locations, as well as a new feature: the dual camera, to record the content and the reaction of the person filming this content.
3- Finally, Reels provide a more immersive and entertaining way to watch and create videos on Instagram, all new video posts under 15 minutes will now be automatically shared as Reels in the coming weeks. Videos posted before this change will remain videos and will not become Reels.
With these changes, Reels is increasingly becoming Instagram’s feature to counter the success of TikTok. But, at the same time, the Instagram application is moving further and further away from what made it interesting for many other users.
