Audi fans take note. The popular traditional brand from Ingolstadt (official website) has released new images of the highly anticipated Audi Q6 e-tron. Here the e-SUV can be seen as a prototype driving through wintery landscapes.
The Audi Q6 e-tron might offer a range of 700 km
Even if the Audi Q6 e-tron appears a little sober in the latest photos thanks to Erlkönig’s costume, the shapes of the promising E-SUV are clearly visible. And these emphasize that it is to a certain extent the counterpart of the brother of the group, the Porsche Macan-E. Both premium vehicles not only rely on a powerful electric motor, but also share the VW Group’s Premium Platform Electric (PPE). The technical data is also still in prototype form. The Ingolstadt company also does not disclose details here. However, the fact that the Audi A6 e-tron presented as a concept car in March 2022 also relies on the EPI platform allows conclusions to be drawn regarding the equipment.

If that were the case, we might expect a battery of up to 100 kWh here. This might then result in a remarkable range of 700 km. The manufacturer has nevertheless provided some clarifications. They want to deliver the Audi Q6 e-tron with an 800 volt battery. This might give rise to the possibility of charging the electric car with an impressive power of 270 kW. Furthermore, it can be assumed that the e-SUV will be launched in three different engine versions. In addition to a front-wheel drive version, there will also be an all-wheel drive version and a more powerful RS version. However, these rumors should probably be taken with a grain of salt for now.
Availability this year?
Regarding the release of the Audi Q6 e-tron, it is currently still in the stars. However, the sign of life that the Ingolstadt company is giving us today gives us hope that this will not last too long. Experts currently believe that the manufacturer might officially present the E-SUV in the second half of 2023. The presentation would then probably also be accompanied by a production launch. We can only hope that Audi doesn’t suffer from the same software issues as Porsche. These forced the premium manufacturer to postpone the start of production of the Macan-E from 2023 to 2024. It is therefore possible that the first models of the model might be driven on local roads by the end of the year.
