Within the framework of the investigation into the case of Anahí Espíndola, the 22-year-old girl who disappeared following going to the gym in Viña del Mar and her body was found in the rocks on Avenida Perú, the Valparaíso Prosecutor’s Office opened a new hypothesis.
It is worth mentioning that, last Tuesday, the head of the Valparaíso region of the Investigative Police (PDI), prefect Guillermo Gálvez, assured that “there is no hypothesis that can be ruled out, but all the expertise is being carried out to be able to reach to the true”.
During this day, the Public Ministry referred to Anahí’s case. In that sense, the regional prosecutor of Valparaíso, Claudia Perivancich, indicated that tests continued to be carried out on Anahí’s body to determine how his death occurred.
“For now, what we are waiting for is the scientific result of the cause of death,” said the pursuer. And she clarified that “I am not going to speculate on the cause of death, but none of the information we have in the investigation allows us to presume that there was intervention by third parties.”
“It’s a posibility”
Along those lines, when asked if the possibility that the young woman’s death was accidental was being considered, the prosecutor stated that “it is a possibility.” However, nothing has been determined yet and we have to wait for the results.
