The cost of living and housing in the Paris region is a major obstacle for professionals who would like to join the AP-HP, as well as for those who already work at the AP-HP but need more space when their situation family evolves.
To facilitate their access to housing, the AP-HP acquired 1,155 reservation rights with six partners in social housing and in residences for young workersthanks to exceptional support from the Île-de-France regional health agency (ARS) of nearly 21 million euros.
This is a new step towards achieving the objective set in the plan ” 30 levers to act together »: doubling the number of housing units allocated each year to the AP-HP, to increase from 600 to 1,200 annual allocations between 2023 and 2027.
AP-HP will thus be able to benefit from:
– 320 additional accommodations in residences for young working people (furnished and equipped studios) located in inner Paris. These accommodations are intended for young professionals working in shortage occupations (nurses, specialized nurses, electroradiology technicians, or even midwives).
– 835 additional social housing units in Paris and throughout the Paris region. They will support AP-HP health professionals who have difficulty finding accommodation in Île-de-France.
The AP-HP is preparing to launch new operations to continue developing the supply of housing for the benefit of its staff.
