Last year, Gmunden local historian Holger Höllwerth published a book about the persecution of Gmunden Jews under National Socialism (“Jews in Gmunden”). Because eyewitnesses reacted to this and sent him further information and photos, Höllwerth has now published an additional “follow-up on the book” in the form of a brochure.
He also published a brochure about “The Gmundner NS victim memorial”. In it he describes how the memorial unveiled this year on the Esplanade came about – from the idea (in which he himself played a major role) to the reactions to the memorial.
Both brochures are available (for four and six euros respectively) from the Gmundner bookstore Poetenblau on Rinnholzplatz and from the Hirz copy shop on Bahnhofstrasse.
