Amr Hussein achieved a new gold for Egypt in the freestyle wrestling competitions in the weight of 74 kg, following defeating the Turkish champion Samet Ok with a score of 11-1 (unequal).
This is Egypt’s fourth gold at the 2022 Mediterranean Games in Oran.
Faryal Abdel Aziz won the first gold for Egypt in karate, following which Youssef Badawy succeeded in adding the second gold to Egypt, for the weight of 84 kg in Karate men.
The third gold went to the Egyptian women’s table tennis team, and the Egyptian superiority came 3-2 in the final meeting, where the Egyptian women outperformed by 2-0 following winning two matches, before losing in the same, to decide here the quality of the decisive meeting by winning and crowning Egypt with the gold.
The Egyptian delegation will participate in the Mediterranean Games with 184 male and female players competing in 19 sports: athletics, badminton, basketball, boxing, weapons, gymnastics, handball, karate, archery, tennis, taekwondo, volleyball, archery, judo, sailing, table tennis, weightlifting, wrestling and equestrian.
