New genetic engineering: Several Nobel Prize winners for liberalization – Science

Vienna – 34 Nobel Prize winners have signed an open letter in which they advocate liberalizing the regulations on new genetic engineering methods. These include award winners such as Emmanuelle Charpentier and Jennifer Doudna, Steven Pinker, Peter Singer and Christiane Nusslein Volhard. A total of more than 1,000 scientists – including from Austria – joined the letter initiated by the environmental NGO “We Planet”.
