Despite a gloomy economic context, French cyber start-ups managed to raise 341 million euros between June 1, 2022 and May 31, 2023. This is the main lesson of the 2023 edition of the radar produced each year by Wavestone in partnership with Bpifrance, unveiled on June 15 at the Viva Tech trade show. Admittedly, the result may seem disappointing compared to the 630 million euros collected the previous year, but the amount was inflated by the exceptional raising of 330 million euros from the start-up Ledger, specializing in physical cryptocurrency portfolios. The 2023 edition of the radar notably attests to an increase in the number of fundraisers in the region of 40 million euros, as well as “small” fundraisers of less than 10 million (61 million raised by 19 structures).
