The Football Association’s Board of Directors, following its new formation, headed by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, for the 2023-2027 electoral cycle, will hold its first meeting next Thursday at the Federation’s headquarters in Dubai, noting that the Football Association’s General Assembly had approved during its last meeting at the “ Legacy” in Abu Dhabi, the electoral list submitted by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan.
It is expected that during the first meeting, administrative positions will be distributed among the members, including the position of Second Vice President of the Federation, in preparation for the start of a new phase in the UAE football journey.
It is expected that there will be changes in a number of committees affiliated with the Football Association, merging and creating some committees, and people from outside the Board of Directors assuming the presidency of some committees, in line with the requirements of the new phase and serving the public interest.
It is expected that Obaid Salem Al Shamsi will take over the National Teams and Technical Affairs Committee, and Hisham Al Zarouni will take over the position of Chairman of the Finance Committee, following he served as Chairman of the Player Status and Transfer Committee during the previous Federation period, while Khalfan Juma Belhoul will take over the Strategy and Investment Committee, which he also occupied during the previous Football Association period. Amal Bouchlach will take over the Women’s Football Committee, in addition to distributing the rest of the other important committees, such as the Referees Committee, which will witness changes at the level of the committee’s presidency, following it was previously occupied by Salem Ali Al Shamsi.
The new Football Association’s Board of Directors included: Abdullah Al Junaibi, First Vice President of the Federation and President of the Professional League, and 11 members: Hisham Al Zarouni (Sharjah Club), Hamad Al Mazrouei (Hatta), Omar Al Muhairi (Al Nasr), Yahya Al Matroushi (Ajman), and Fahd Al Hosani (Bani Yas). Amal Bushlakh (Masfoot), Ahmed Al-Mahboubi (Al-Taawoun), Ibrahim Al-Nimr (Al-Hamriyah), Abdul Mohsen Al-Dosari, Khalfan Jumaa Belhoul, and Obaid Salem Al-Shamsi, who are nominated by the President of the Union.
