Ten programs have a chance to be voted best TV program of 2022 on the Kastaars, the new media awards organized by VRT, DPG Media, SBS and Streamz. There are four One programs among the nominees (Down the Road, Restaurant misunderstanding, Travel Wales in Taboo)three Play4 programs (The smartest person in the world, From Mol in James the Musical) two VTM programs (The Masked Singer in Code of Coppens) and one from Canvas (The ideal world).
Who wins is determined by the audience. From today until Thursday 19 January, everyone can vote via kastaars.be for the best TV program and for seven other categories. For example, you can also vote for the best radio program and the best podcast, the media personality of the year and the media moment of 2022. The latter category includes the early exit of the mole, the drunk madammen in The ideal world and the exposure of Vooruit chairman Conner Rousseau The Masked Singer nominated. In addition, a nine-member jury, led by Luc Appermont, determines the winners in three other categories: Breakthrough, Career Prize and Jury Prize.
The Kastaars will be awarded on Saturday 28 January during a show from the Studio 100 Pop-Up Theater in Puurs. The show, which is presented by Danira Boukhriss Terkessidis, Koen Wauters and Gert Verhulst, will be shown on One, VTM, Play4, VRT MAX, VTM GO, GoPlay and HLN. The radio show can be listened to on Qmusic, Joe, Radio2, MNM and Nostalgie.
