New Federal Revenue auctions have Macs, (many) iPhones and more

A IRS is promoting new auctions of seized goods: one in Curitiba and another in Brasilia. As usual, there are (this time, many) products from Apple among the objects auctioned, which range from accessories such as AirPods to computers such as MacBooks and iMacs.

At the Curitiba auction, the highlight goes to lots 28 and 150 — the latter, by the way, has no less than 222(!) iPhones 11, among other Maçã devices. Obviously, the initial bids required for these lots are much higher than “normal”: R$200 thousand and R$275 thousand, respectively.

The one in Brasília, in turn, is the only one to have MacBooks in its lots, even if in a reduced way. They are present in lots 383, 387, 388 and 390, and accept initial bids that can vary between R$1,200 and R$4,100.

As not all lots are made up exclusively of Apple products — most of them are not, in fact —, it may be necessary to take devices from other companies home to purchase a desired object.

Shall we check out the lots with Apple products?

How to participate?

It is important to highlight that the entire participation process is carried out online. Participants must have an active CPF and a digital certificate to access the Virtual Taxpayer Service Center (e-CAC), which is the platform used to carry out the auction.

Offers can be made by both individuals and companies. However, it is crucial to note that products available at auction are not guaranteed for repairs or replacements. Furthermore, the IRS does not ensure that all products are in perfect working order and also does not make deliveries.

Additionally, it is possible that ICMS (Tax on Circulation of Goods and Services) and a fee charged by the Federal Revenue for storing the items will be applied to the final value of the auctioned products, therefore, it is important to consider these costs when participating in auctions.
