BeforeA new era is beginning in the Muslim League. Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal (sadhiq Ali shihab thangal) became the leader of the Muslim League with the death of Panakkad Hyder Ali Shihab Thangal. The decision was taken by the high authority committee meeting convened by Panakkad. The announcement of Sadiqali Shihab’s appointment as President was made by Khader Moein. Khader Moein said the decision was unanimous.
Sadiqali Shihab Thangal has been holding the post temporarily since the time when Panakkad Hyder Ali Shihab left the service due to illness. Sadiqali will also serve as chairman of the National Political Affairs Committee of the Muslim League. Sadiq Ali Thangal is a member of the Muslim League’s executive committee and former state president of the Youth League.
Sadiqali Shihab is facing major political crisis. Despite being part of the UDF, the absence of a government and the forthcoming elections are a matter of concern to the League. Sadiqali Shihab Thangal said that they will continue on the path led by their predecessors.
Panakkad Sadiqali Shihab Thangal, the new president of the League, will be a leader who is more involved in organizational matters than the previous presidents. He has been the Malappuram district president of the Muslim League since 2009.
He was the state president of SKSSF for 15 years following the split of Samastha. Panakkad Sadiqali Shihab Thangal entered active politics in 2000 when MK Muneer resigned and was appointed as the President of the Youth League to replace KD Jaleel. He resigned in 2007.
The League did not have a second name to consider for the post of Malappuram district president, which fell vacant in 2009 when his elder brother became state president. With that, Sadiqali Shihab also took part in the decisions of Hyder Ali Shihab. Kunhalikutty and KPA Majeed became the decisive voice in the high authority committee.

Sadiq Ali was behind a number of important decisions taken by Hyder Ali, including the Rajya Sabha seat, and his interests. Although Kunhalikutty and others were close to Sadiqali, he did not quarrel with anyone.

Sadiqali Shihab has been involved in all the recent controversies within the League. Sadiqali Shihab backed MSF president PK Nawaz in the green controversy. They ignored the protests when Nawaz was nominated for the presidency. Opponents later left the organization.

Wayanad district committee member C Mummy had to face action following Hyder Ali Shihab lodged a complaint once morest them for flood fund fraud. Sadiqali Shihab, who is tougher than his predecessors, will be more independent in many respects. The usual refrain of ‘let the decision be theirs’ is not just a word.

With Sadiqali’s resignation, there are reports of confusion in the league over who should be appointed to the post of Malappuram district president. Sadiqali’s brother Abbas Ali wants to make himself district president.

But the late Umar Ali suggests their son Rashidali their name Samastha. With this, a section of the youth league president Munawwarli is highlighting their name. There are reports that Munawwarli Shihab is more likely to be themselves.
