A “Talk to my hand” emoji?!
As we approach World Emoji Day (yes it exists!) which will be held on July 17, a list of 31 new emojis has just been unveiled under the name of Unicode 15:0 which you can find on emojipedia.org website.
Among those that caught our attention are head shaking (it remains to be seen how to use it well), ginger, a jellyfish, and above all… a hand which seems to be pushing something and which is reminiscent of the cult song of Fatal Bazooka alias Mickael Youn, “Talk to my hand”. Is this a voluntary tribute? Mystery…
Otherwise, we find a classic – the heart – but declined in new colors, light blue, gray and pink, or even other animals such as a deer, a donkey or a goose. And also new objects: fan, flute, maracas.
When can we use the new emojis?
Before you can use them, you still need to this list of emojis be approved during a consultation in September. But according to Emojipedia“most presented for approval are historically confirmed”. Donc a priori,we can find them on our phones from “first semester 2023“.
