New electrical system and lighting at Ñu Guasú Park improve quality of life and safety of users

Asuncion, IP Agency.- Through an agreement between the Ministry of Public Works and the National Electricity Administration, the new lighting and electrical distribution system of the Ñú Guasú Park was enabled last night. This constitutes a step forward in improving the security and quality of life for the users of this public space.

The opening ceremony of these works was chaired by the head of the MOPC, Claudia Centurión and the president of the Ande, Félix Sosa.

On this occasion, 284 public lighting fixtures were installed with LED technology, which ensures greater energy efficiency and significantly reduces environmental impact.

In addition, 851 meters of bare line were replaced by protected medium voltage lines and 4,200 meters of bare conductors were replaced by pre-assembled low voltage conductors, with the removal of obsolete conductors and devices found on site, with an investment of Gs.1,157,950,037, financed with ANDE funds.

The Minister of Public Works said that these works have a direct impact on people’s quality of life and that through coordinated work – as requested by President Santiago Peña – they are making progress in building spaces with better conditions for citizens.

He stressed that both Ñu Guasú and Guasú Park receive around 10,000 people daily. He noted that the peaks of influx occur in the morning and followingnoon, from Monday to Friday, and on weekends, more than 40,000 people, who will have a feeling of security, he stressed.

He also asked the head of ANDE that the next park be the Guasú Metropolitano, which is the park where people come with their pets and can use their bicycles.

For his part, Ande President Félix Sosa highlighted the work carried out, emphasizing the impact it will have on people’s quality of life.
