The University of Los Andes (ULA), through the Rafael Rangel Nucleus, enthusiastically announces the establishment of a new Publishing Service within the Semiotic and Literary Research Laboratory (Lisyl), this is created with the purpose of structuring and optimizing the processes of application, reception, evaluation, design and editing of scientific and cultural works, promoting the visibility and impact of the knowledge produced by the university community.
The Lisyl Publishing Service arises in a context of growing interest in semiotic, educational and literary research. Therefore, it aspires to be a high-quality platform for the publication of books, magazines and other academic products; In collaboration with other editorial units of the ULA and other national and international entities, a professional and effective publication process is guaranteed.
In addition, through workshops and dissemination activities, editorial and research skills will be strengthened, contributing to the development of a dynamic academic culture aligned with the mission of the Universidad de Los Andes to train professionals committed to excellence and innovation.
It is noteworthy that with the approval of the Publishing Service by the University Council of the University of Los Andes, the LISYL becomes the first academic unit of the ULA to have this new editorial modality.
The official presentation of the Lisyl Editing Service is expected to take place in January 2025, aligned with the start of the laboratory’s annual activities. This event will be a key moment in the history of Lisyl, where the lines of research and the possibilities that this service will offer to ULA researchers and academics will be presented.
