New drug price cuts have come into effect across a list of 35 drugs.

According to the decision published in the Official Gazette, among the medicines that were reduced was the drug “Erluntas” for treating cancer, whose price became 8,943 dirhams, a decrease of 508 dirhams.

The price of a box containing 180 capsules of the drug “Lirapyn”, used to treat partial epileptic seizures, has also decreased by 29 dirhams, reaching 1,101 dirhams. The same applies to the drug “Lyrica 300 mg” (a box containing 56 capsules), used to treat epilepsy, nerve pain and anxiety disorders in adults, which has decreased by 46 dirhams, reaching 593 dirhams.

The list also included the drug “Pradaxa” (a box containing 60 capsules), which is intended for the treatment of deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism, and for the prevention of recurrence of deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism in adults, and its price was reduced by 99 dirhams to reach 803 dirhams.

The price of soluble insulin “Ryzodeg Flextouch 100 units/ml” (injectable solution in a 3 ml cartridge, box of 5 pre-filled pens) also saw a decrease of 282 dirhams, reaching 900 dirhams.

Among other medicines, the price of “Immunohbs 180 Ul/ml” (injectable solution, box containing 1 ml vial), intended for the prevention of re-infection with hepatitis B virus following liver transplantation, has been reduced by 76 dirhams to around 1035 dirhams.
