In the Russian border town of Bryansk, an electronics factory and a train station were once more the target of drone attacks on Friday followingnoon. According to Governor Alexander Bogomas, Russian air defense intercepted at least three drones over or approaching the city. Two of the aircraft are said to have damaged the train station and an industrial administration building when they crashed. The governor blamed Ukraine for the attack.

According to Bogomas, no one was injured. According to authorities and Russian media reports, Bryansk had already been attacked with drones on Thursday, including the train station. The governor also spoke on Thursday of an attack on an “administrative building of an industrial plant” in which a fire broke out. According to Ukrainian media reports, the industrial plant is a factory of one of the largest Russian microelectronics manufacturers. Around 90 percent of the company’s production will be used for military purposes, it said. The factory is also said to have been the target of drone attacks at the end of August.

Russia has been waging a war of aggression once morest its neighboring country Ukraine for more than a year and a half. As a result, there are repeated shellings on Russian territory, often in the border region. However, the number of victims and damage are disproportionate to the consequences of the war in Ukraine.
