New developments in the Al-Bashir trial file, after a surprising discovery about the identity of the person who prepared a report on his health condition

Al-Marsad newspaper: The Supreme Court in Sudan withdrew the trial file of former President Omar al-Bashir, his former deputy, Ali Osman Taha, and leaders of the “Resolved” National Congress Party, Ahmed Haroun and Al-Fateh Ezzedine.

In this communication, Al-Bashir and his party leaders are facing charges related to the killing of demonstrators following the December 2019 revolution.

According to Al-Sudani newspaper, today, Thursday, “the withdrawal of the case file by the Supreme Court came following an appeal submitted by the indictment in the case, in which it indicated that the former president had not been brought to the sessions, as well as an appeal once morest the medical report explaining Al-Bashir’s health.”

The indictment demands that the accused be referred to the medical center to report his health condition, because it is the only body that can determine his true condition, and said that the medical report for the court was prepared by Al-Bashir’s doctor.
