It’s been a long time since we players had no news of The Day Before, a title presented last year for the new generation of consoles and PCs, inspired by a world of Zombies, with a survival MMO theme. Recently, new details of The Day Before have been released, offering good and bad news for all who were waiting for the game.
Via IGN, the developers of the game shared a small status or update of the game, referring to the change of the game engine and release date. In the statement, they have shared that the game has been developed in Unreal Engine 5, so we can expect better performance and graphics adapted to this generation. The bad news is that the launch has been scheduled for March 2023.

Also in the statement, the development team detailed the following (translated): “Feeling and understanding the great responsibility we face, with enormous gratitude in our hearts, we are pleased to announce that The Day Before is moving to the new Unreal Engine 5 technology. The transition to a more advanced and tailored open world engine will make the gameplay of The Day Before even more fantastic.” A huge change that has its consequences on the release date, which will first be on PC and later on consoles.
We have had mixed news from the developers, who confirm the new engine on the one hand, but sadden the fans who wanted to play the title this year on the other. We’ll have to wait and see what’s new over the months, but if this change means a much stronger game, waiting for the next one will be welcome The Day Before.
