New design! Werder Bremen is back to green and white for the home jersey – Bundesliga

Will this shirt bring luck in the Bundesliga?

Werder presented the home shirts (made of recycled polyester) for the 2022/23 season at the Zillertal training camp on Friday. Adult sizes are available from 89.95 euros – without flock and logo.

The special feature: After the color green was more in the foreground on the home jerseys in recent years, Werder is now back to green and white. In addition, Werder’s main sponsor PHW-Group does not start with their most famous “Wiesenhof” on the jersey, but with the vegan brand “Green Legend”.

Many fans will like it better, but Green politician Jürgen Trittin (67) criticizes it. “They make their money with animal cruelty in factory farming and then say we also have a vegan line,” said Trittin, who resigned as Werder environmental ambassador in 2012 due to the Wiesenhof sponsorship.

Werder fan Kay Stöcker is probably less interested in the topic, he was immediately hooked on the new jersey: “I was the first to buy the new jersey. I like it very much. Now I’ll have it flocked to me.”
