Asunción, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Public Health reports that the authorization of the dentistry service in the Family Health Unit of the community of RI3 Corrales de Caaguazú represents a crucial step to improve the oral health of more than 11,000 inhabitants of the area.
This initiative was articulated between the General Directorate of Health Decentralization, the Oral Directorate and the V Health Region – Caaguazú, in response to the need to bring health services closer to the most remote communities, thus reducing access barriers and ensuring a Timely and quality care.
RI 3 Corrales is one of the 22 districts prioritized by the Government of Paraguay within its plan to improve the quality of life in the most vulnerable regions.
With this new service, the residents of RI 3 Corrales will no longer have to travel the 30 kilometers that separate them from Coronel Oviedo, their health center, to receive dental care.
This new dentistry service will not only address oral problems, but also develop preventive strategies in the community, promoting education about the importance of dental care and oral hygiene from an early age. This initiative seeks to reduce the incidence of oral diseases and improve the quality of life of the inhabitants.
The authorization of this dental service is a reflection of the commitment of health authorities to guarantee that all citizens, regardless of their geographical location, can access essential health care, says the Ministry of Public Health.
