Ou Jiarong said that following the results of the whole genome sequencing of the Public Health Laboratory Service Office, it was also found that the positive cases of residents in rooms 413 and 414 on the fourth floor earlier may be related. The first case was a 39-year-old male resident of Room 413 (case 12893) who arrived in Hong Kong from Nepal with a friend on January 2, and the two tested positive on January 6. A 23-year-old Pakistani man arriving in Hong Kong (case 12994) from Room 414 next door tested positive on January 10.
Yuan Guoyong said that in the case on the fourth floor, it was suspected that following the occupant of one of the rooms opened the door to pick up the items, when the adjacent room opened the door regarding 30 seconds later, the air with virus entered the room, causing infection; the smoke test also found that the air can be removed from room 1205. Pass to 1206, room 413 can also pass to 414. He said that the above-mentioned 4 rooms involved have 3 rooms on the left and the right in the same row, the opposite room and 3 rooms on the left and right, and the relevant residents will be quarantined for another 14 days.
