Mbour, January 29 (APS) – The village of Falokh, located in the commune of Mbour (west), will have a commercial complex costing 4 billion FCFA, for a total of 837 canteens intended to accommodate “ all the major trademarks of Senegal,” assure the project promoters.

Construction work on this commercial complex was launched last weekend, during a ceremony chaired by the Minister of Fisheries and Maritime Economy, Pape Sagna Mbaye, and the mayor of the commune of Malicounda, Maguette Sène.

“This is a shopping center which will be built on a surface of 6,000 m² on a R+3 floor with 837 canteens,” said the councilor, during the official launch of the work.

The complex will have two commercial spaces, he explained.

Large spaces are planned on the ground floor, to “accommodate all the major trade brands of Senegal”.

“Next to this shopping center,” continued Mr. Sène, “there will be a market for the populations.”

With a capacity of 375 places, this part dedicated to the sale of fish, meat, fruits and vegetables, will be equipped with green spaces and all the amenities that go with it.

As the municipality did not have the resources to build this commercial space itself, it found a partner to carry it out and at the same time build a market for the populations.
