The Argentine coach Andrés Lillini announced his resignation as a strategist for Necaxa in the Mexican league, a team that closed the Clausura Tournament in the penultimate position of the table with fourteen units, remaining five points behind the league positions.
For this reason, “Rayo” moved quickly to find a new coach for the 2023 Opening Tournament, where the Aguascalientes team will seek to reverse its bad situation at the sporting level and become competitive once more.
The option chosen by the electrician club is the Venezuelan Rafael Dudamel, who is a free agent following ending his relationship with Deportivo Cali in 2022, the team with which he won the Colombian Dimayor League in 2021.

The Yaracuyan man met with the club’s leaders in recent weeks and is expected to set foot on Mexican soil in the coming days to sign his contract as the new technical director of the three-time MX League champion.
Before taking on this challenge, Dudamel had coached Estudiantes de Mérida and Deportivo Lara in Venezuela, as well as the Sub-17, Sub-20 and Absolute categories of La Vinotinto. Abroad, he was in charge of Atlético Mineiro, Universidad de Chile and Depoirtivo Cali.
