New climate protests in Berlin’s government district and in front of Rembrandt’s night watch – Environment & Climate

Berlin/Amsterdam – The weekend brought new climate protests in prominent places. While activists defaced a monument to the Basic Law not far from the German Bundestag in Berlin on Saturday, activists demonstrated in Amsterdam on Sunday in front of Rembrandt’s “Nachwache”. After the action in Berlin, the German interior minister, Nancy Faeser (SPD), called for criminal consequences: “So nonsense like this does enormous damage to climate protection.”
