The prices of tobacco products have risen since this Sunday, January 1, 2023, following the increase in the domestic consumption tax (TIC) on tobacco, within the framework of the 2023 finance law. cigarettes, cigarillos, cigars, heated and rolling tobacco, as well as Muassel.
The price matrix was established by the Customs and Indirect Tax Administration (ADII), in a circular dated December 30, 2022. It includes all the new selling prices for manufactured tobacco, with an increase varying from 1 to 2 dirhams per package.
The increase mainly concerns the brands most in demand by consumers. Thus, the prices of Marlboro packages go from 38 to 39 dirhams, Marquise from 24 to 25 DH, Camel from 33 to 34 DH, Winston from 37 to 38 and Gauloises from 25 to 27 DH.
