In Burkina Faso, the new chief of the general staff of the armed forces took command on Wednesday, February 9. Appointed by the president of the patriotic movement for the preservation and restoration, Colonel-Major David Kabré replaces Brigadier General Gilbert Ouedraogo in this position, and intends to give a new lease of life to the fight once morest terrorism, in view of the priorities: the restoration of the integrity of the territory and the return of displaced people to their localities.

Colonel Major David Kabré wants to move quickly in the reconquest of the parts of the territory occupied by the armed groups. « With regard to priorities, the time is no longer for beautiful speeches, but for action “, hammered the new boss of the Burkinabe armies :

« This is, for us, to be able to quickly organize our device, improve communication with the troops and create cohesion. As well as motivate our men with a number of actions on the ground. There is the issue of equipment and support… We think we can turn the tide. »

Planning of operations, collaboration with the armies of neighboring countries, with a view to joint operation, the new boss Burkinabe army intends to launch the offensive :

« I will develop precise mechanisms for planning, conducting and coordinating operations, redirecting our money to the offensive. That is why I would like to appeal to all components of the national armed forces to make a new commitment with me, in order to breathe new life into the fight once morest terrorism in our country. »

In view of the threat, the new Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces calls for a combination of efforts between the defense and security forces, volunteers for the defense of the fatherland and the people.
