In March, the scientific calculator brand Casio launches new models, highlighting the fx-991LA CW. The device launched dedicated to Brazil and Latin America features a new high-definition LCD display, language settings in Portuguese, English and Spanish, solar charging and superior operability with a simple layout.
The new model features the first high-definition greyscale LCD screen and, with the new key layout, it facilitates the entry of operations through convex buttons. The calculator offers intuitive use through frequently used keys near the center of the keyboard and with different color coding for cursor control keys and input keys.
“The importance of the calculator in the classroom has already been proven, especially in other countries, because it stimulates interest in calculation in a clear and simple way, promoting the development of estimates and hypotheses, since students gain time in performing calculations and they have fun with it, following all it is inserted in the digital context”, says Tatsuro Ogawa, general manager of calculators at Casio, in a press release.
Among the novelties of the fx-991LA CW calculator there is a function memory to be used in several calculator applications and the new Math Box application with ‘Roll the dice’ and ‘Heads or tails’ functions that allow the study of probability mathematics with simulations — with the aim of stimulating students’ curiosity.
Another highlight is the integration with other devices, such as computers and smartphones, thanks to the generation of QR Codes by the calculator itself. It is capable of directing the user to the ClassPad.net interface, which brings resources to classrooms and other virtual facilities. When reading a QR Code, for example, you can see graphs that will be analyzed on the platform.
The model comes out R$ 259,90.The brand also plans to launch soon the entry model the ClassWiz fx-82LA CW, with the same high resolution screen, by R$ 169,90. For more details and information on where to buy the calculators, visit the brand’s website.
